About ‘Long time’ by Sander Poppe

After an extended time without a camera, it was extra special to take my first photo of the year at the world-famous windmills of Kinderdijk. This unique spot in South Holland is not only a tourist attraction, but also a source of inspiration for photographers from home and abroad. The Kinderdijk windmills symbolise Dutch water management and attract countless visitors daily, who experience the beautiful landscape by canal boat.

The peaceful atmosphere and the characteristic river lend themselves perfectly to slow-shutter photography. This technique creates a stunning image in which the water looks smooth and the sky dynamic. This enhances the harmony between the historic windmills, the water and the sky. This little river, where tourists sail, provides new photo opportunities and breathtaking scenes every time.

It is special to realise that this famous location is so close to home. The windmills of Kinderdijk put the Netherlands on the map internationally and form a beautiful backdrop in every season. Perhaps it is time to honour this pearl of South Holland with a visit more often. Be inspired by the heritage, nature and tranquillity of Kinderdijk - a place where photography and history come together and where you will be amazed by the view every time.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
