About ‘Looked At, Never Really Seen’ by Estella Veldmeijer

The print is from the oil painting 'Looked at, Never Really Seen' from the collection 'The She That You Don't See' by Atelier Estella. The painting shows a body elegantly intertwined with the waves of the rocks of Lower Antelope Canyon, a location known for its breathtaking, organically shaped walls and the play of light and shadow.

The colours in the painting are intense and warm, with different shades of orange reflecting the sunlight and illuminating the rock walls, giving the body and undulating shapes a sense of inner warmth and energy. The play of light and shadow creates depth, with the rocks both embracing and separating the body at the same time, symbolising the neurodivergent woman's inner struggle - seen, but not really understood.

The print evokes a sense of stillness and reflection, while symbolising the strength and resilience of the woman making her way through a society that sees but often does not fully understand her. The work reminds the viewer that there is much more than what is visible and that the true depth of one's experience often remains hidden.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
