It is not often that I have seen autumn being this vibrant in the Speulderbos. The orange leaves on the forest floor were a vibrant orange colour which contrasted with the green moss on the trees. A little bit of mist was still lingering in the background, just enough to add some mood to this scene. I made this image whilst teaching a workshop and decided to photograph it as a square. The mix of summer green leaves with orange and yellow leaves was quite striking to look and the paths through the forest had completely disappeared under the fallen leaves, leaving nothing but an orange carpet.
