In the 4 weeks that our trip lasted there was literally only one day that it did not pour down and all of a sudden the wind took a break on this particular morning. I know this place very well and I knew that after a cold night, there would probably be mist over the lake if the sun's warmth would touch the cold surface of the water and so it happened. I have photographed this spot on many more occasions, but this was the most serene atmosphere I ever experienced there. Instead of the usual golden light, the colour remained cool which suited the outside temperature very well, because it was freezing. I opted for a calm composition with horizontals in the frame to do justice to the mood of that morning.
