About ‘Morning has broken...’ by Sander Poppe

In this winter sunrise over Kinderdijk, the tranquillity of the Dutch landscape is shown to its best advantage. The month of January brings with it a gentle, almost serene atmosphere, in which the world slowly awakens. As the first rays of sunlight appear above the horizon, they colour the cloud cover in warm hues that are beautifully reflected in the smooth waters of the polder.

The historic windmills of Kinderdijk stand quietly along the water’s edge, serving as both the subject and the silent witness to this special moment. Their silhouettes contrast subtly with the soft colours of the sky, creating a balanced and serene whole. This simple scene exudes tranquillity, balance and pure Dutch beauty.

This photograph captures not only the unique winter light, but also the timeless atmosphere of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Perfect for anyone who loves nature, landscapes and the iconic windmills of the Netherlands. It is a work of art that brings a sense of calm and wonder to any space, whilst paying tribute to one of our country’s most beloved places.

Hello, my name is Sander Poppe. I am a landscape and seascape photographer, born in Zeeland and living in the Alblasserwaard region of the Netherlands. Nature, and especially the sea, is the common thread running through my life and photography.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
