About ‘Mum Covid’ by Sarolice

During the quiet of the pandemic, I began to draw, without letting myself be guided by what others found beautiful.

The imperfect lines on paper have a healing effect on me in practice. I later realised, however, that it does require keen observation. My first gem hit the nail on the head. Yet another female breast reappeared in my drawings, this time surrounded by mysterious figures. What was it trying to tell me?

In September 2020, the diagnosis of breast cancer became a reality. This illness raised a lot of questions for me. I set out to investigate. It was the start of an inevitable process of transformation that has shaken up my life considerably. The creations that emerged from this are, each and every one, hidden treasures that communicate with both the inner and outer worlds. I’d love to take you on a journey, starting at the very beginning: Mamma Covid.

Mamma Covid is a hand-drawn illustration that, thanks to the use of special markers, creates a colourful whole. The drawing was eventually digitised for a more beautiful and polished result.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
