Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.

About ‘Myths of Moss’ by Ellen Borggreve

The mossy roots of a beech tree in the famous Speulderbos with a slightly misty autumn woodland in the background. I was teaching a workshop when I got out of the way to let my client make his photographs without me looking over his shoulder and I grabbed my small camera to see if I could find something to photograph in the meantime. I had tried to photograph this tree numerous times before, but this is a difficult fellow to capture. This time it worked, I photographed this without a tripod and with the dancing beech trees in the background. This moss on the roots of this slender beech trees makes it look like a fairytale.

Ellen Borggreve

Netherlands

Ellen Borggreve is a landscape photographer and author of Woodscapes and Praxisbuch Wälder fotografieren, among others. She was born and raised in the woods of the Veluwe where her love for trees originated. Besides forests she also likes to photograph Dutch coastal scenes.

The focus is on tranquil scenes that seem to lie outside everyday reality, without people in the picture, with subjects that are about to disappear often being the subject. The fleeting patterns…
