About "Reflection in pond"

About the artwork

At the edge of a pond in the Hageland, I watched as clouds and trees reflected in the water, while a yellow flower drew the eye to the bank. It is an upside-down world: up becomes down, solid becomes liquid. I love that slight confusion. You have to look for a moment to understand what you see. Reflections for me are a way of turning the ordinary into something new, without actually changing anything. Even though this is a realistic representation of nature, the abstract qualities are particularly beautiful. This work is as much about lines, planes and a primary colour contrast (yellow against blue), as it is about the beauty of nature an sich.

This image exudes calmness and depth. In an interior, it brings a spatial effect: you look through a window into a second landscape, as it were. The subtle colours and soft light make it suitable for places where you want to feel slowed down, such as a sitting room or hallway.

It reminds me of how many layers can be found in the Hageland, even in the smallest places where water and air meet.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
