In late summer, I often walk along fields and roadsides in the Hageland, where thistles are abundant
present. These plants, often seen as weeds, have a special beauty when
you look closer. Their fluffy leaves blow in the wind, a gentle ballet of transience. For
me, this image symbolises how the mundane can become something grand if you have an eye for it.
While capturing this, I felt how Indian summer shows its character: warm but with a
hint of farewell, a season that almost turns into autumn. On the wall, this image brings
softness and reflection, and shows how vulnerability and strength exist together in the
nature.
