The SIAI-Marchetti SF.260 is an Italian light aircraft that can serve as an artificial flight aircraft and a military training aircraft.
The aircraft was designed by designer Stelio Frati, originally for aircraft manufacturer Aviamilano, which made a test flight with the first prototype (the F.260) on July 15, 1964. The design was sold to SIAI-Marchetti even before it went into production.
The Defense Air Component has had SIAI-Marchetti SF.260 aircraft in service for many years. These are stationed at Beauvechain/Bevekom Air Base. Among other things, the aircraft is used by the demo team the Red Devils. Furthermore, it is used as a teaching aircraft for all military pilots in training.
