About ‘Sparrowhawk’ by Dirk Claes
The sparrowhawk is a small, fast bird of prey in the hawk-like family. The scientific name of the species was published as Falco nisus in 1758 by Carl Linnaeus. This photo was taken from a forest cabin. The aperture is quite open so that the bird is somewhat detached from the background.
