For my paintings, I like to make sketches. Lately, I've been doing it more often digitally, because it allows for faster recovery of choices and it can be done easily on the move.
I personally love the work of Per Kirkeby, who was mostly inspired by nature and its textures and colours. Regarding the latter, however, I tend towards less realistic interpretations and very much enjoy playing with an impressionistic colour palette. From me it is also allowed to curse and sand a little and I look for where it still 'fits' and belongs' together.
After graduating from the Rietveld Academy, I started working as a freelance visual artist in 2012. I mostly make graphic and illustrative expressions, but when my schedule permits, I prefer to make autonomous art. Which I share with you here!.. Read more…
