About ‘Sweet invasion’ by Iris van Heusden

Behind the glass, a shop window full of sweet delicacies beckons, richly and temptingly displayed. In the soft reflection of the window, you can see the outside world watching. An image that inevitably makes your mouth water.

I am always inspired by the paintings of the 'Old Masters'; I find the atmosphere, colours and light fascinating! I try to emulate this in my photography.

My work is composed of various carefully selected photographs, merged into one new image. This combination makes the work completely original and unavailable anywhere else. My special editing technique makes it seem as if you are looking at a painting.

My name is Iris van Heusden, born in Amsterdam and living in Oirschot. For me, photography is an expression of my creativity. In every photograph I take, I am inspired by the work of the 'Old Masters'. I find the light, the atmosphere shown in their works phenomenal. I try to emulate those. Them brush for me is my camera, and with the processing I apply to the photos, the photo ultimately looks like a painting.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
