About the artwork

Taxiing Icelandair Boeing 767-300.

Registration: TF-ISO.
Aircraft name: Hlöðufell.

The Boeing 767 is a twin-engine widebody jetliner from US aircraft manufacturer Boeing. The aircraft was developed together with the Boeing 757 so that pilots and maintenance personnel could quickly work with both aircraft. The Boeing 767-200 was introduced in 1978, and production began in 1982. This was followed by the extended versions 767-300 (1986) and 767-400.

Hlöðufell is a tuya volcano about 10 km southwest of Langjökull, Iceland. Hlöðufell is 1188 metres above sea level and was formed when lava erupted through Langjökull during the Pleistocene.
A tuya is a flattened, steep volcano formed when lava erupts through a thick glacier or ice sheet. They are rare worldwide, being restricted to regions's that were covered by glaciers and had active volcanism during the same period.

This photo was taken on 25 March 2017 near taxiway Victor at Schiphol Airport.
