This painting is composed of materials symbolizing immortality on a large screen that is almost square. The painting was drawn in four parts and then joined together to make it complete. Although the typical materials of the ten longevity paintings appear, such as the sun, clouds, mountains, water, pine trees, turtles, deer, cranes and the elixir of life, the composition of the screen is quite different from that of the typical ten longevity folding screen, in which different materials are arranged harmoniously yet with a sense of variation. Behind the screen are mountain peaks individually, and in front of them are two pine trees and two deer arranged symmetrically, and the waterfalls at both ends of the screen are also almost symmetrical. At the bottom of the screen is a wide surface with rippling waves, and a turtle is depicted on the water
