Colourful patchwork composed of snippets of packaging material. Using prints from food boxes, a composition was made of scraps with partly readable and recognisable advertising texts. Images of archaeological pots and nature images were added around a portrait. The patchwork is partly physical, created with scissors and cardboard, but also digital. The work invites you to explore recognisable details. The large number of brand names, ingredient lists or descriptions can be ignored by the viewer to see the big picture, or studied to explore the origins. The diversity of packaging shows transcendent affluence, while the use of this material seen as waste as a medium for art shows how little it takes to create art.
