About ‘The Dawn’ by Laurents ten Voorde

A watercourse "De Doorbraak" (The Breakthrough) is still quiet and deserted. Only a few horses are already awake and grazing. There's some ducks swimming on the water. Gradually it gets lighter and there is a light fog hanging over the meadows and the water. The dawn has begun and the sky is beginning to turn slightly purple and orange. It won't be long now before the sun will appear above the horizon to announce the start of the day.

"A dreamer is someone who can only find his way by moonlight and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.

Borne, Netherlands

Laurents was born in 1962 in Hengelo (the Netherlands). He took his first pictures when he was 10 years old with an AGFA clack camera, but the real love for photography started in 1979 when he bought his first SLR camera.

Nature has always been my interest and what could be more beautiful if you can also capture it photographically. The first pictures were landscapes, but nature has so much more to offer. Photographing birds is one of my passions, but also the world…

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
