About ‘The Green Bedstead’ by Bram de Jong
The tunnel-shaped beech hedge, over 300 metres long, was created in 1865. It used to be used by the ladies of the estate. Here they could take their stroll in the shade of the canopy, keeping their skin nice and white. In the middle of the Bedstee, at the crossroads, there is a linden tree by a bench. The tree symbolises love.
