About ‘The Man-Made Canopy’ by Sebastian Stef

This is not just any jungle; it is a cathedral of wood and leaves, designed by human hands but taken over by nature. This photograph captures the unique architecture of the Man-made Forest in Bohol, Philippines. The perspective draws the eye upwards along the massive, sculpted trunks of the mahogany trees, which rise like columns towards an invisible roof.

The composition is a dense, textured tangle of vibrant yellow-green, jade-green and dark, shadowy leaves, perforated by soft patches of light. Each leaf resembles a brushstroke in a living painting. The climbing plants embracing the largest trunk bear witness to nature’s unstoppable power to reclaim any design. This artwork is a reminder of the fragile yet powerful relationship between humans and the environment, a timeless visualisation of ‘bilibid’ – captured yet wild.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
