At the confluence of the Memel and Neris rivers in the middle of the old town of Kaunas stands the medieval red-brick castle. It is the oldest masonry brick castle in Lithuania, which once blocked the way to Lithuania for the knights of the Teutonic Order. Taken in summer 2022.
