The fjord is completely still. The water forms a mirror in which the steep walls and the sky merge into a single cool expanse of colour. Shades of blue dominate the scene: deep and dark along the edges, lighter and more open towards the horizon. The light is even, without sharp contrasts, as if the day has paused for a moment.
