About ‘The Triberg Waterfalls in spring’ by Marcel Hechler

I captured this moment at the Triberg Waterfalls in the Black Forest — in mid-April, just as winter is letting go and the first fresh shades of green are breaking through the moss.

The water plunges in several stages over dark, smooth rocks. I deliberately used a long exposure so that it doesn’t look harsh and loud, but rather like a calm, silky veil. If you look closely, you’ll spot small plants emerging amongst the moss-covered stones in the foreground, reappearing alongside the last brown leaves from the previous year.

What fascinated me about this scene was the blend of power and stillness: the water is constantly in motion, and yet the dark forest around it exudes an almost reverent calm.

The picture brings this sense of cool forest green and flowing water into the room. It looks great above a sofa or in the bedroom — anywhere you’re looking for a calm, nature-inspired focal point.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
