The bell tower of the Sint Bavokerk in Haarlem. This is a so-called lanterntower, because it is placed in the middle of the church building. Very special, because until that time lanterntowers were only found in Flanders and Brabant (Schelde Gothic). Built between 1518-1520. The style is late Gothic and the tower is 78 meters high. The photo was taken from the Oude Groenmarkt.
The photo belongs to the series Modern History and is therefore developed in black and white.
