Bautzen, or Budyšin in Upper Sorbian, is a district town in eastern Saxony. This photo shows the view from the Friedensbrücke bridge over the Spree. The Old Waterworks are beautifully reflected on the smooth surface of the Spree and St Michael's Church (Michałska cyrkej) and the water tower are also a great motif now, shortly after sunset.

Bautzen was first mentioned in 1002. Today, the city has around 38,000 inhabitants. This makes it the second largest city in Upper Lusatia and its historical capital. Bautzen is located on the River Spree and is the seat of the district of Bautzen, named after it, in the Free State of Saxony. The city in the south of the Sorbian settlement area is regarded as the political and cultural centre of the Sorbs and is home to numerous Sorbian institutions. The state capital Dresden is around 50 kilometres away. The Saxon Switzerland National Park is also not far away. Saxon Switzerland is the name given to the German part of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains in Saxony. The landscape, characterised by bizarre rock formations, lies south-east of Dresden on both sides of the River Elbe

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
