About ‘This is Vincent van Gogh!’ by Nop Briex

Vincent Willem van Gogh (Zundert, 30 March 1853 - Auvers-sur-Oise, 29 July 1890) was a Dutch painter. His work falls under Post-Impressionism, an art movement that succeeded nineteenth-century Impressionism. Van Gogh's influence on expressionism, fauvism and early abstraction was enormous and can be seen in many other aspects of twentieth-century art. The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam is dedicated to the work of Van Gogh and his contemporaries. The Kröller-Müller Museum houses the second largest Van Gogh collection in the world. Van Gogh is considered one of the greatest painters of the 19th century. However, this recognition came late: although he had some fame within select art circles in the last years of his life, his work was not noticed by the general public until after his death, after which Van Gogh and his work became world-famous. In Tilburg, the city where I live and paint, Vincent van Gogh lived to study at the Rijks HBS Willem II.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
