About ‘Tom pouce’ by Annet van den Ende
There it is, quite a cake, it almost doesn't fit on the saucer.
Pastries sometimes have something of a building about them. Such a square Tom pouce also has something monumental.
And very tasty too, it's my favorite pastry. And always the question of how best to eat it:-)
I made this drawing with oil pastel on brown…

I have been an artist all my life. As a child, I would draw on every blank piece of paper that could be found in the house, and when I got out of school, there was often crafting, drawing or modeling.
After art school I started working as a motion graphics designer. I made animations for various companies and TV programs. Painting kept drawing me, so I went back to art school, this time to study the oil painting techniques of the old masters.
