Two Liebherr LR 11350 from BMS Heavy Cranes.
BMS Heavy Cranes originates from Denmark. At the Second Maasvlakte, these two very large crawler cranes were active during the construction of the largest wind turbine in the world at the Second Maasvlakte.
The Liebherr LR 11350 has a maximum lifting capacity of 1,350 tons!
The biggest powerhouse among wind turbines is in the Netherlands. The Haliade X is on the Second Maasvlakte where TNO is testing the GE Renewable Energy prototype. The goal is to get type approval so that it can go into series production. Actually, the Haliade X is intended for use at sea. However, testing will take place on land, because it is more easily accessible there.
