Green mossy trees in vibrant autumn woodland. High humidity levels in this mossy forest lead to enormously saturated colours which makes this feel like fairytale land when the conditions are right. You just don't know where to look first. I must admit that these are not easy forests to photograph, there is no rhyme or reason to the shapes and lines, not like our tidy Dutch forests, so I spent a lot of time looking for compositions whilst not forgetting to enjoy the scenery. All the rocks in this woodland were covered by a thick layer of moss which added to the feeling of being in Fairyland. The trees in these forests are however quite fragile and hardly ever grow into tall trees. They are absolutely irresistible though
