About ‘Vincent’ by Arjen Roos

"Vincent", a dark portrait highlighting the shadow side of Vincent van Gogh's existence. Digging deeper than my usually lighter palette, this work is an exploration of the darkness Vincent often experienced in his life. Inspired by the rough and unpolished expressiveness of Herman Brood, this artwork is a contemporary manifestation of two artists who embodied their own chaos and creativity.

The raw energy of Brood's work and the emotional depth of Van Gogh's brushstroke come together in a fusion of eras; a canvas that embraces both the similarities and unique differences between these two artistic souls. Both lived lives filled with passion and pain, which translated into art that captures the human experience in all its rawness.

In "Vincent" the fierce red and blue tones reflect Van Gogh's inner struggles and vibrant spirit, while the dark undertones and contrasting explosions of colour portray the complexity of his character. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
