A door in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland with a cat lying on the mat waiting for his owner to be let inside. Reykjavik realistically knows a lot of cats and often you don't have to search long to find one. This beautiful specimen was waiting undisturbed at the front door. Many visitors are surprised at the number of cats roaming the streets of Reykjavík. These furry friends often behave as if they own the place and do not consider passers-by or cars. Most of them are good and kind, although some may find you a bit arrogant. In February 2018, this cat-loving city got its first "cat café". The coffee house is located in Bergstaðarstræti in Reykjavik 101, where there are orphaned cats that guests can make friends with - and even adopt! A new regulation that allows people to take their pets to restaurants and cafés has made this possible. "Kattarkaffihúsið", or the Cat Café, offers drinks and tasty snacks under a neon sign with the text "Meow".
