About ‘Where structure and softness come together - Part 2’ by Rita Bardoul

This series shows faces constructed from fragments, seams and rich layers of texture. The closed eyes give the portraits a quiet tranquillity, while the surface is reminiscent of patchwork, leather and weathered materials. A zip forms a striking line in the image: not as a separation, but as a way of holding different parts together.

Subtle architectural forms and map-like details are incorporated into the skin structure, giving each face something of a landscape. In the background, tranquil elements such as a tree, a waterline or a distant skyline appear. They add space and atmosphere without making the composition busy. The result is a modest, sculptural portrait with great attention to detail and balance.

Technique & format
The work is manually composed and refined in Photoshop, using digital painting techniques, photo editing and layered compositions. Texture, light and colour are carefully coordinated to maintain a calm, warm appearance. Executed in a balanced format, which ensures a stable composition and a strong presentation on the wall.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
