Upper parts are light grey with a strong bluish hue, head is light, superciliary is white and broad; forehead is mostly white, cross pattern on lower parts formed by narrow light grey beams. Approximately 10% of the population in the eastern part of this breed consists of light morphing birds, the colour of which varies from pure white to white with a pale, strongly reduced pattern. In populations of this breed there are some birds that are usually between grey and white morphs. Male wing length 308-342 (321), female 340-380 (361) mm.
