The Schachtbrunnen is a listed fountain named after the merchant Friedrich Schacht in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt. The fountain is located in Blasiistraße west of the town's market square, just in front of the southwest corner of St. Blasii Church.
It consists of a hexagonal well trough. This is about one meter high and is made of solid light gray limestone. In the center of the tank rises a column, on each side of which is a forged bronze gargoyle.
On the front of the column is the Quedlinburg city coat of arms, and on the back is the family coat of arms of the donor.
The actual work of art is located on the central column. A bronze gardener's boy and a dog, the Quedlinburg heraldic animal.
