The Speulderbos is also called “The forest of the dancing trees”. The special thing about this forest is that the people who lived in this area only felled the straight trees (to make houses, for example) and left the crooked trees.
Together, the Speulderbos and the Sprielderbos are 3300 hectares in size. Deer, badgers, pine martens, snakes, wild boars and many bird species live here.
