About ‘villa Chabot’ by Karin van Bylevelt

Since 1993, the Chabot Museum has been housed in one of Rotterdam's most beautiful villas. This monument of New Building on Museumpark was designed in 1938 by architect G.W. Baas, who had previously worked for many years at the architectural firm Brinkman & Van der Vlugt (known for the Van Nelle Factory, stadion van Feijenoord and Sonneveld House in Rotterdam, among others). Baas left the execution of the construction to L. Stokla when he was appointed coordinator of the construction of the Kröller-Müller Museum on De Hoge Veluwe. The modernist-style villa was originally built as a residence, commissioned by the Kraaijeveld family. Characteristic features of the house are the bright spaces, the openness to the garden and the unique view of the surroundings of the Museum Park. The gardens of the Chabot Museum and the other Museumpark villas form a green oasis in the city centre, where the special Rotterdam architecture from the period of the international New Building can be experienced again.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
