Marian's trending interior
This week, we're taking a look at Marian's '70s home. Although she still dreams of having a beautiful 1930s home, she's been happily living in Leusden, the Netherlands, with her husband and three kids for the last 17 years. As an interior design and styling advisor for Loods5, it shouldn't come as a surprise that her home isn't just always stylish, but also that it changes with the seasons and trends. Leusden
"After viewing over 20 houses in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, we finally came across our current house in Leusden, where we've now been happily living for over 17 years. Moving to a different environment from what you're used to is always a big step – even if the physical location is only a stone's throw away. I eventually gave in because of the amount of space that the house in Leusden had to offer us. When we went to view the house, it was lovely weather, the patio doors opened out onto a magnificent garden. We fell in love right there and then! The height difference between the kitchen and dining area also really appealed to us. It adds more playfulness to the space.

Fun fact about Marian: "My favourite place in the house is the dining table. I think it's a really lovely place where we can also sit with guests or when celebrating."
Magnificent magnolia
"What did we hang on the wall?" The piece is "magnolia in vase" by Klaartje Majoor on an art frame. The colour scheme of this piece really appealed to me because, on the one hand, the black means that it's bold, but on the other hand, the delicate brown of the vase and the white magnolia really softens it. Also, the print perfectly matches our new wall colour, Brave Ground. The image on canvas is really beautiful. I think it's a bit more atmospheric than a "flat" piece. Since the canvas is in a frame, it seems to pop out at you more. And the great thing about a frame is that you can switch it out easily. I like changing my interiors with the seasons.
