Titled Wein, Weib und Gesang, this digital still life depicts a poetic journey through Europe, captured in a powerful visual statement. Against a deep red background - a symbol of passion, warmth and nostalgia - four empty bottles are carefully arranged. Two elegant rosé bottles from France anchor the scene with their soft pink hues, recalling sultry summers in Provence. Their transparency subtly catches the light, evoking a melancholic reflection of time gone by.
Between these bottles adorns a small, white ouzo bottle from the Plomari brand, straight from Athens. It adds a southern touch and alludes to the vibrancy of Greek culture - festive, but with an undertone of melancholy. On the right is a Taşdelen water bottle from Istanbul, a symbol of purity amid exuberance, and a silent witness to eastern influences. The transition from alcohol to water reflects a subtle philosophical tension between exuberance and contemplation.
The red background lifts the whole to an almost sacred atmosphere, with the contrast between the transparency of glass and the depth of colour inviting the viewer to contemplate. The work is not just a representation of objects, but a digital ode to memory, impermanence and connection between cultures. Each element carries its own history, but together they tell one story.
