This work shows a geometric-abstract composition that picks up on elements of Mediterranean architecture and landscape. At the centre is a stylised building shape with a round arch and circular window, reminiscent of the typical facades of places such as Santorini. The structure is surrounded by organic and geometric shapes that could symbolise hills, plants and celestial bodies. The colour palette of blue, orange, red and yellow reinforces the association with southern coastal regions and sun-drenched villages.
The inspiration for this picture was the Mediterranean building culture - reduced to its characteristic shapes and colours. The aim was to create an abstract scenery that does not depict, but evokes. The design language is clear, two-dimensional and rhythmic, with a focus on composition and colour effect.
The atmosphere is warm, structured and calm at the same time. The work conveys a sense of lightness and order without resorting to narrative elements. It invites interpretation and creates visual points of calm.
This picture goes particularly well with furnishing styles such as Mediterranean Modern, Boho, Minimalism or Contemporary. It is also effective in design contexts such as wall design, wallpaper design or branding. Its speciality lies in the combination of architectural reference and abstract clarity - a visual statement for rooms with southern flair.
