About ‘Belém Tower’ by Jeroen de Jongh Photography

The Torre de Belém, or Tower of Belém, is a defensive tower on the banks of the Tagus River in Belém, a suburb of Lisbon.

The building in the late Gothic Manuel style was erected at the beginning of the 16th century to commemorate the voyages of discovery of Vasco da Gama and the grandeur of the Portuguese power in the era of the great discoveries. It is one of the main attractions of Lisbon. The Belém Tower was declared a national monument in 1910, and in 1983, together with the nearby Hieronymite Monastery, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
