Boeing B-29 Superfortress Fifi.

The picture shows the Boeing B-29 Superfortress Fifi, for a long time the only B-29 still flying, but since a few years Doc joined it. Doc's work can also be found in my shop.

The Boeing B-29 Superfortress is a US bomber used in World War II in the fight against Japan, from bases in China and in the Mariana Islands (on Guam and two islands of the Northern Mariana Islands, Saipan and Tinian). Among other things, this type of bomber was used to drop the first atomic bomb over Hiroshima on 6 August 1945; this bomber was called the "Enola Gay". Three days later, this type of bomber was used to drop the second atomic bomb, this time over Nagasaki by the "Bockscar" bomber. Both aircraft took off from Tinian.

The B-29 was designed (as the Boeing Model 345) to the requirements of the US Air Force, which needed a long-range bomber capable of flying at high altitudes. The first flight took place on 21 September 1942 (XB-29).

The gun turrets of the B-29 were all remotely controlled, unlike the B-17.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
