About ‘Bouvigne Castle, Breda’ by Patrick Rosenthal

Castle Bouvigne in the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant is located just outside the district of Ginneken and near the Mastbos south of Breda. Behind lies the Markdal.

It is unknown exactly how old the castle is and what it originally looked like. From 1494 onwards, the De Boeverie estate was a watered-in stone house close to the large and small farmstead already situated there. The small farmstead stood at the junction of the Duivelsbruglaan and the Bouvignelaan, but went up in flames during the siege of Breda by Spinola in 1624.

The large farmstead had been owned by the Princes of Orange since 1614 and by the state since 1881. In 1941, the farm was destroyed by a V1 rocket but later rebuilt.

Hello! My name is Patrick (Pat) Rosenthal and I am a designer and photographer.
My field of interest is as broad as my photography, as all-round as possible.

I prefer nature, close up or landscape, by the play of light on the leaves, the water or the trees, but also a beautiful city view, a beautiful building, a good product or a staged portrait I like to shoot.

In Teteringen I have my own studio, but if possible I slip outside to take pictures.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
