The drowning cottage in the middle of "the Sahara of the North " on Vlieland.
In earlier days, it was a refuge for stranded shipwrecked sailors.
Nowadays, it is refurbished annually as a beachcomber's museum.

Photography has had my interest for years.
In 2016, I bought my first SLR camera.
I take most of my photos during walks with our dog, in the garden and in nature. I also like macro photography and urban photography.
I was a member of a photo club for several years where I learned a lot about photography.
It is just wonderfully relaxing to be out and about with the camera and to see the world through the lens.
