About ‘Gunung Agung’ by Anne Ponsen

Gunung Agung (Indonesian: Gunung Agung) is an active volcano in Bali, Indonesia, forming the highest mountain on the island. Gunung=mountain and Agung=great, lofty or head.
Agung is Bali's holiest mountain, comparable to Greek Mount Olympus. The island's people see Agung as the 'navel of the world' the geographical and religious centre of the world. They sleep with their heads facing Agung and many believe the gods made the mountain to watch life below from that height.
In 1963 and 1964, Agung erupted after a 120-year lull. On 25 November 2017, there was another eruption of the volcano. The ash released in the process reached a height of six kilometres. A huge pyroclastic flow rolled down the volcano's slope during the eruption. On 27 June 2018, an ash eruption sent an ash cloud 2.5 km high into the sky. Lava eruption followed at 9.05am local time on 2 July.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
