About ‘Inner Strength’ by Olga Talsma

This expressive painting captures the powerful presence of an Alfa mare in profile, rendered through a interplay of colour, texture and emotion. Her intense gaze and proud posture radiate calm, wisdom and inner strength. The combination of warm copper, rust and gold tones with deep blues and mysterious shadows creates an intriguing contrast between softness and strength.
Countless layers are visible in the work: fine lines, spontaneous splashes of paint, textures and subtle patterns that give the painting an almost weathered, lived-in appearance. The longer you look, the more new details and movements you discover in the surface. The loose, intuitive brushwork gives the horse a vibrant energy, as if it might come to life at any moment.
Horses are a major source of inspiration in my work because of their pure energy, sensitivity and freedom. During the painting process, I am guided by feeling and movement, and I use materials from nature.

This painting brings warmth, depth and character to an interior. It appeals to lovers of horses, nature and art with its powerful, soulful presence. Thanks to the rich colours and layered texture, the work continues to captivate time and again.

Olga Talsma, born and raised on Schiermonnikoog, where she used to ride horses across the beach and dunes, now lives in Drenthe, where nature is a major source of inspiration. She creates powerful portraits of women in which elegance, strength and freedom take centre stage – the very qualities she recognises in the horse as a metaphor.

Originally trained as a graphic designer, Olga chose to devote herself entirely to traditional painting, where she found her own…

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
