Rotehornpark, also known as Stadtpark Rotehorn, is the largest municipal park in the city of Magdeburg, covering an area of 200 hectares. The park is located on an island in the Elbe River and is part of the Saxony-Anhalt Garden Dreams network.
Once the heart of Magdeburg's heavy industry, Buckau was one of the city's problem children for a long time. But since the turn of the millennium, the neighborhood has undergone an impressive development. Today, you'll find an exciting mix of new housing developments on the banks of the Elbe, lavishly restored old buildings and creatively repurposed industrial structures in a district with many young and committed residents and a rich cultural life.
