About "Nature Breaks Through Concrete"

About the artwork

It is the unseen things that catch my eye. While most people were heading to the bridge in Porto to enjoy the view, I saw this tuft of green against a bright yellow wall. Even in places where it is not actually possible, nature looks for a way to be present and break through our concrete facade.

This line pattern of bright yellow, light and dark grey adds sunshine to your interior on those days when the sun does not show itself. It represents the life force of nature, that something is always possible if you look for it. It forces you after to keep your eyes open and not just walk past the small.

The photo was taken on the way to Ponte Luís I, the footbridge over the Douro River that allows you to cross from one part of Porto to another. From the bridge you have a great view over the Ribeira with its coloured houses. The bridge has two layers and on the top layer you share the available space with the metro. On both sides of the bridge, you will find artists selling artworks or playing music.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
