This photo shows the characteristic wooden poles of the Palendorp in Petten, rising rhythmically from the sea. The poles stand still and powerful, while the water looks silky and almost dreamy through the long exposure. The green deposits on the underside of the wood betray the constant struggle between ebb and flow, between movement and standstill.
The sky is heavy and cloudy, but combined with the soft, almost picturesque water, it creates a minimalist and soothing atmosphere. It seems as if time slows down for a moment - the frenzy of waves and wind is reduced to a serene simplicity.
The sculpture exudes silence and balance: the clean lines of the poles juxtaposed with the fluid movement of the sea and sky. A place that invites you to stand still, look and feel how powerful simplicity can be.
Due to some mental challenges I started photography as a hobby. This hobby has brought me a lot of new insights and challenges so I can enjoy life more.
I hope I can let you enjoy my photos as well...
