About ‘Pilsum Lighthouse’ by Marga Vroom
The iron lighthouse is 11 metres high and dates from 1891. It was taken out of use in 1915. The foundation was built into the sea dike at the Ems and the tower was painted yellow-red. It is known from the advertising of a regional beer brand. At the moment the lighthouse is used as a wedding location.
