After the flood and lots of rain pools are formed on the sandy beach of this Wadden Island. The pools show a variety of colours depending on the deposits that were left on the beach by the sea in combination with the reflections from the sky. The wind created ripples in the sand which create kaleidoscope reflections on the beach. One puffy cloud is reflected in the middle pool. The wonderful thing about an image like this is that after a few hours none of this exists anymore. It is photography of fleeting landscapes, which is what I love so much about photographing on the seaside.
