About ‘Rapunzel Castle’ by Marius Mergelsberg

A princely castle, with a beautiful ballroom, whose history is deeply rooted in the roots of the country. The foundation walls were built almost 1000 years ago and so it is not only older than the land on which it stands, but is also considered to be its birthplace, as the relevant documents were signed here. At the beginning of the 2nd World War it was then expropriated by the SS and used as headquarters. Towards the end of the war 126 boxes of treasures arrived here. It became a temporary storage facility for art objects and treasures and is the last known location of the Amber Room before it was lost during transport. A few decades after the war, it was restored at considerable cost, concerts and coffee afternoons were held and the castle found a new purpose as a hotel. At the beginning of the 90s it was sold to two hotel groups, whose plans to convert it into a 5-star hotel failed. So the castle is still waiting for a new purpose.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
